Veterans Day (November 11th) in the United States, it is the observance that helps preserve the historical significance of the date, but helps focus attention on the important purpose of Veterans Day: A celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
In my family it is a family tradition to join the military, my great grandfather, grandpa, father, sister, brother, "ME" and my son served in Iraq and Afghanistan. My daughter is in the Army currently serving over in South Korea.
I was in the Army from 1982-1988, I spent 3 years in Ludwigsburg & Stuttgart, Germany and 3 years in Louisiana. I went in as a Cryptological Technician so that is where my "computer geekdom" really started.
Note: This is simply to honor our veterans (fallen, past and present), do NOT make this a political debate. Please support our troops and veterans!

Both the flag and the military members are photos of mine that I took during a 4th of July parade.

--When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
