WITHOUT YOU I AM NOTHING
Without you I am nothing, for what am I without you?
Given the choice of your love and the light of the sun,
I would risk eternal darkness and let your love light my way.
No purpose is greater under heaven than love from the soul,
To receive this love is priceless; to give it humbles me so.
Love is the answer, love is the key, it is in the ocean and the air we breathe.
Love is timeless, ageless, and blind, for you need not see to love.
Sweet Becky, how precious you are, I am on top of the world now!
Devoted to giving you a better life, remember this one thing,
Without you I am nothing…
David Rogers
I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl,
her head fit into the palm of my hand
and her tiny fingers could curl around
my fingertip; they would never curl
on their own, never would her synapses
fire directions to her extremities.
She will never feel pain, anger, resentment,
fear. Never know the touch of love, the ache
of heartbreak, the joy of family. She will
never taste exotic foods or travel to enchantment.
Nightmares will never plague her dreams and
dreams will never invade her everlasting sleep.
Weeks of love and longing, of hope and light
were dashed upon the broken rocks of fickle
chance that took her from my arms and carrie
I miss you
And it hurts
So bad
I cry
And I try
So very desperately
To fill the void you left
But nothing works
Not pot
Nor booze
Or even blood
And I all I want is you
All I see is you
And all I can do is
Miss you
And it hurts so bad
Because I know its my fault you left
All those lies I fed you
All I took for granted
But Im sorry
I know I was wrong
And now Im left
Missing you
I want to forget
But I cannot
All those memories
Those feelings
Linger
And I cannot help remember
All the firsts
And yet the lasts
Im killing myself over this
Because its my fault
Im lost without you
An
Your love
is a curious beast
she whispered,
her voice disappearing
down my spine.
Its back is boar brusque,
bristling between the sheets
where dark hangs
over us,
and its legs
like fine gazelles -
lithe and sweetly haunched
against my sighs.
I love its strong flanks,
brindled like the wind,
stripping back the air
that haunts this room
and the swift pelt
of its belly
nestling densely
in the chasm
where only the moan
of tangled breathing
breaks the silence
Valentines Day, Oxnard California, 1967
I had never looked upon Valentines Day as a major holiday. To me it was a day for school kids to exchange penny Valentine cards well, they were a penny when I was a school kid or a day promoted by greeting card companies to generate business. I was soon to learn that not everyone held my point of view.
I was a photographer in the Air Force back then, stationed in the Base Photo Lab and Oxnard AFB. I phoned my wife from work that morning, and at the end of our conversation she asked me to pick up a box of book matches at the Base Exchange if I had a chance. I did this at lunch
I absolutely love everything
That makes you so sweet and charming.
Your character & your heart
Are things worthy of praise.
You are everything
That I adore
In a girl
And a
friend.
Joy
Is what
I feel when
You are present.
I absolutely
Adore your bad habits
And appreciate them too,
For this is what makes you human
And in my eyes adorable too.
I miss spending,
So much time with you,
And I don't want to move on,
But I guess I have to
I will always remember,
The things you've said to me,
But it hurts me more than you know,
That I was the price you paid to be free
I just wanted to tell you,
That you're always on my mind,
And that I know we're seeing the same thing,
Just from two different sides
I miss you...
More and more every day
I wonder if I...
Will ever stop feeling this way
In my mind...
With me you will remain,
Still I miss you more,
Every day
I miss all the joy,
All the fun that we had,
Some things just happen,
And really, that's just too bad
And I will
